I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. (Galatians 2:20)

QUICK Review
Email troubles are fixed! Doug took his last antibiotic yesterday, and we are trusting God it is the last he ever has to take for MRSA. Stella is better. In fact, in just the past few days there has been significant improvement. Praise the Lord!

NBF Inside
Aftercare ministry begins inside, before a man is released. This is why Doug is currently in seven facilities: Mass Treatment Center in Bridgewater, MCI Shirley Medium and Minimum, MCI Concord, NCCI Gardner, The Essex County Correctional Facility, and the Lawrence Correctional Alternative Center. He is prison six days most weeks, and some weeks seven times. There are days he is in three different facilities. Praise God! This is a vital part of the ministry of New Brothers Fellowship, and we pray the Lord continue to open these doors.

SHARE The Warmth Testimonies
We are very excited to share some testimonies of how God is using STW to touch men's hearts.
Though most of the clothes have been given to the facility for distribution, because we just can't manage the quantity ourselves, Caroline sorted out some items for sharing at Chapel services. Sunday night, we brought two large bags of clothing with us and laid them out in the back of the Chapel. As men came in, we let them know they could choose freely from what was there.
We had many new faces last night, and without exception the men were blessed and surprised. That is the common reaction. One man pulled Caroline aside and wanted to know how we had these clothes to share with them. We tell me often that the Body of Christ cares about them and is praying for them. These clothes have been a physical demonstration of that care, which is exactly what we hoped when we launched this clothing drive.
One man, S, just had an undershirt and a sweater. He said he only had the sweater, because he bought it off another inmate. Then he lifted the sweater to reveal his waistband. "Do you have any belts?" He is keeping his pants up with a shoelace. A minute later, literally, another man came up and asked for a belt, too. We didn't have any last night, but we'll see what we can find in the bags that are still here at home. Doug may have one he can spare, too.
Another recent arrival, T, looked like a lottery winner when he walked in and heard there were clothes being given away. His eyes got so big! Later, before the worship service began, he raised his hand to share his testimony. He said he had always struggled to follow God. He'd decide to go to church with his wife, but then find an excuse to not go, even starting an argument to get out of it. Then, that very morning, he had been so frustrated about not having any clothes, just one t-shirt and one pair of pants, that he had prayed and said to God, "If You're real, please give him some clothes." He'd never gone to Chapel before, but a fellow inmate encouraged him to come. Neither of them had any idea there would be clothes there. No wonder he was so amazed to find these clothes! They were a direct answer to prayer. He had such a look of wonder on his face, that God would do this for him! He was really excited and made sure to find out from Doug when there was another service. He didn't want more clothing, but he wanted more of God. God used these clothes to demonstrate His love to T!
In our last iNBrieF we set the deadline for donations as November 7th. After last night's testimonies, we want to leave the STW Drive open until Thanksgiving. If you have something you want to donate, let us know. And, again, our great thanks to each who have given. We wish you had been there to see for yourself how much your hand-me-downs meant to these men. What a blessing for us to get to meet these needs!

SEEKING New Brothers
Next week, we will celebrate our 5th Anniversary as Directors of New Brothers Fellowship. If you are a New Brother, we want to hear from you. Please, send us an email, or give us a call. If you know a New Brother who has been blessed by this ministry, ask them to contact us. Please, help us mark this milestone. Five years is in no way a testimony to Doug or Caroline, but a testimony to God's faithfulness. This ministry does not stand today, because we have done anything right. By God's grace, He has kept us. He has provided. He has sustained. And, New Brothers are the living testimony of God's goodness. We want to hear what God is doing in the lives of New Brothers today. Please, help us get the word out. We want to share some shout-outs to God!

Thank you for supporting this ministry with your gifts, prayers, and words of encouragement. We don't do this alone. This is the work of the Body, by the Body and for the Body of Christ. Your support helps makes the difference. Thank you for caring about men in prison. Thank you for loving the lost. Thank you for caring for and loving us, too!
