"But I go out as a missionary not that I may follow the dictates of common sense, but that I may obey that command of Christ, 'Go into all the world and preach.' "  (James Gilmour)

DEAR FRIENDS,
May was Doug's first full month as Chaplain at the ECCF, and Director of New Brothers Fellowship.  He is keeping  a very full, and fulfilling, schedule.  He is blessed to have this new opportunity, and we remain grateful for your continued prayers for the work God has entrusted to us.  Spiritual opposition has always accompanied this work, but prayer has always been the answer.

FIRST BAPTIST
Two weeks ago we visited First Baptist Church of Haverhill for Sunday morning worship.  Doug shared an NBF update and we enjoyed visiting with some of our friends there, including Pastor Howard Lawrence and a New Brother who has been attending First Baptist since his release three years ago.  Seeing this Brother in church was a highlight of our morning.  We thank God for the Body of Christ at First Baptist, and for their open arms and hearts.  They have actively supported prison ministry and prison aftercare for many years.

SCHEDULE
Doug is often asked about his schedule, how many hours he works, etc.  For that reason, a few months ago he began publishing his calendar on the NBF website.  If you take a look at it, you'll see why we are eager for more Church Brothers to get involved with NBF.   One man can do a lot, but no man can be two places at once.  Pray with us for group leaders.   The need is great.

SPEAKING OF VOLUNTEERS
This past Winter, Caroline sensed the Lord leading her to begin praying for a volunteer who would work closely with Doug as a ministry assistant and intern.  We don't know exactly what that position will look like, but we do know the right man for the job will be willing to serve hard and be consecrated to the Lord.  Please, pray with us concerning this.

ON SUNDAY
Doug's been invited to bring his saxophone and join the worship team for this coming Sunday's service at West Congo. We're looking forward seeing our friends there, including Pastor Dale Brown and Worship Pastor Jonathan Di Staulo.  Maybe, we'll see you, too!

IN CLOSING
Our heart is lifted when we hear that people are praying for us.  Thank you for joining us in this work through your prayerful support.   Knowing you are interceding reminds us we are not alone, no matter how often the Enemy tells us otherwise.
We also thank those who stand with us in their giving.  You have partnered with NBF in a very precious way, sharing with us from your own table.  Your generosity and graciousness bless us so much.

May the Lord bless and keep you all.  We thank God for you.

In Christ alone,
Doug, Caroline, & Hannah
