"Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Thus will I bless Thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name." (Psalm 63:3-4)

Prayer Request for Doug
Thanks to a surprise gift we received in January, Doug will be traveling today to visit his Mother in Arizona. It has been many years since he last saw her, so he is really looking forward to this visit. His brother may also be coming into town for a few days, and there are several members of his extended family in the area that he is also looking forward to seeing.

We would really appreciate your prayers for Doug's safe travels while he is away, and for the many volunteers who will be covering his services for him. Doug has long wanted to get back West to see his family, and as he will be there for his birthday, this trip is a precious gift. Thank you for praying for us at home, too. We are happy he is going, but he will be very missed!

ScrapbookingStory.com Wows Us!
We have begun to receive the handmade greeting cards people are making and donating to the NBF Greeting Card Outreach, made possible by the generousity of ScrapbookingStory.com, and they are just beautiful! Here is a small sample:

NBF Cards

It is not too late to request your FREE kit to make SIX cards for the guys inside. ScrapbookingStory.com has designed this set of cards with an emphasis on Mother's Day, which is the biggest day for greeting cards. We anticipate needing at least two hundred.

ScrapbookingStory.com does have more kits ready to mail, so why not take advantage of this special offer, and be a part of something great? Click HERE for details!

Prison Ministry Volunteer's Prayer Night
If you volunteer in prison ministry, no matter which facility, or volunteer at an NBF Discipleship Group, we would like to invite you to join us once a month for prayer. The need to pray together is very great. The opposition to God's work inside never stops. Satan takes no holidays! Let's come together in one Spirit to share our needs and burdens and carry them together to the foot of the cross. This is also going to be an ideal opportunity to share with Chaplain Doug how he can better support your ministry.

The meeting will be held the second Monday of each month at New Life Christian Assembly in Haverhill, from 6:30-8 p.m. New Life is the same church that hosted the Volunteer Appreciation Dinner last November.

Unity amongst the members of the Body of Christ is vitally important, and there is no greater way to come together, than to pray together.

In Closing
Thank you all who have been praying for Caroline's mother, Stella. We are happy to report that she is much improved. She is also a year older, and so thankful for the cards she received. Thank you for remembering her. This is a short video of her sharing her own thanks for the outpouring of love she received: LINK

We pray the Lord bless and keep you all today. Thank you for taking the time to stay involved in this ministry, and for keeping us in prayer. We love the work we do, but it takes more than conviction and passion to serve the Lord on the front lines of the battle. It takes the faithfulness of the Body of Christ, interdeding on our behalf. Thank you. We thank God for you!

In Him Alone,
Doug, Caroline, and Hannah

Honor Where Honor Is Due

Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour." Romans 13:7

Honor Where Honor Is Due
We do not personally know many people who have faithfully served the Lord for 72 years, but Rev. Stella L. Mosqueda is just such a person, and we count it a great privilege to call her "Mother."

Stella Cooper's service to the Lord began when she was just nine years-old.  After school, she would go to the local nursing home and read to the residents from the Book of Psalms.
Every Saturday, she would canvass her neighborhood inviting children to Sunday School. As a teen, a missionary to Cuba would visit her church and a seed would be sown.

We will not share her life's story here, but that seed for missions did take root. She has served the Lord faithfully all her life, fulfilling the duties of both minister and minister's wife. When she worked as a nurse or teacher, she only considered those workplaces different missionfields. When she retired, her neighborhood was her missionfield. And, as she has had setbacks in her health, her hospital bed became her pulpit. She has touched countless lives with the love of Jesus, and still carries this burden for souls. Just this January, she shared how sorry she was that she had not done more for the Lord with her life. Her heart's cry was that God would allow her to just win more souls for His sake.

Unfortunately, February was not kind to Stella. In fact, it brought a terrible assault against her life, and she is now at the Hannah Duston Healthcare Center in Haverhill, receiving the physical care she needs to recover. However, she really needs more than food and rest. She needs even more than prayer.

The Word of God exhorts us in James 1:27 that, "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and the widows in their affliction."
Only the Lord knows how many times has she ministered to someone in a nursing home, and now Stella is the one afflicted.

While most people receiving this message cannot visit her in person, we would like to ask if you would each be willing to visit her through a birthday card.
You see, this Friday, March 9, Stella will mark her 81st birthday. We will bring a party to her, of course, but it's a sad thing to be in a nursing home on your birthday. She needs more than a cake. She needs her Brothers and Sister in Christ to share a word of encouragement---something short, sweet, and simple. Would you consider returning to her the love she has freely poured out on others, now when she has so little to offer herself?

Her mailing address, while she is at Hannah Duston, is:

Rev. Stella L. Mosqueda
126 Monument Street
Haverhill, Massachusetts 01832

Thank you in advance for taking a few moments to bless this woman of God. In an upcoming e-iNBrief, we will be sharing a new ministry outreach for New Brothers that her life has inspired.

We also want to thank you for keeping NBF, the chaplaincy, ourNew Brothers, and our family in prayer.

In Him alone,
Doug, Caroline, and Hannah

P.S. In honor of her birthday, we are going to post an album of photos from Stella's life and ministry on the NBF Facebook page. Please, look for it on Friday.
