NBF News
---------------
New Brothers Fellowship exists to carry the Gospel of Jesus Christ into prison, and to serve men upon their release who’ve come to faith in Christ during their incarceration. We are here by God's grace, as He uses HIS BODY to support HIS work in the prison and prison aftercare mission field in New England. Thank you very much for joining us in this effort for the glory of our dear Savior.
  • NBF100: We continue to appeal to the Body of Christ to intercede for us daily. The need for prayer can hardly be articulated, because it is so tremendous. We now have seven people who have raised their hand and said, "YES, I will pray for NBF every single day!" Will you be one who is willing to make that daily commitment? We understand it is a lot to ask, but without prayer we're sunk. There are many needs in this ministry, but they can all be met through intercessory prayer. Will you pray for us? Please, reply to this email with "YES" in the subject line to let us know that we may add you to that list. Only 93 to go!
  • THEY'RE BACK!: July 30th marks the return of NBF Fellowship Nights. It has been almost three years since our last, but they are returning on a quarterly basis. So, please join us for this great night! Jim Trick will be our Special Guest. Hope Community Church in Newburyport (Pastor Peter Ballentine) is hosting. The refreshments begin at 7PM, so don't be late! LINK
  • THANK YOU: I (cg) remember the first time Doug shared the ministry at a church. He handed me his watch before he went to the pulpit, and instructed me to signal him when his time was up. I tried to, believe me! On Sunday, we were invited to share NBF at Wesley United Methodist Church in Salem, MA (Pastor Stephen Bascom), and it was just as thrilling as that first time. We love what we do, and we thank you for continuing to support this ministry through your intercessory prayer and financial gifts. This is the Lord's work, and we believe He will sustain it, but He told us from the very beginning He was going to use His Body to supply. Gifts have come from some of the most unexpected sources, and sometimes we wonder if we'll ever receive another, but we always do. God keeps us. Thank you for allowing Him to use you. We offer you our heartfelt thanks, and we give Him all the glory!

Hannah was home with an infection the past two weeks, however, she is well again and back in New Jersey. We've made more trips NJ in the past month than we ever expected, but the NBF-mobile has kept up with the demand. Praise God! We are so thankful for the gift of this car. We know it has some pressing needs, but we keep putting those in God's hands.

When you pray for NBF next, remember to pray for our New Brothers and for the volunteers who serve on this mission field with us. Remember to pray for Edward, the NBF ministry intern. He is proving himself to be a faithful servant, and we thank God for him. We also ask you to pray for the men and women who work in prison.

We pray now for each one of you, that the Lord bless and keep you and draw you ever-closer to Himself. These are difficult days, and we know some of you are facing terrible and fearful trials. Please, be encouraged in your faith and know that God is with you. He will never leave you, or forsake you. Whatever you may be enduring, turn to Him. Lay your burdens at His feet, because He loves you with an ever-lasting love. He is there for you now!

In Christ Alone,
Doug & Caroline Gregan
