The GREAT Christmas Eve Blessing of 2009! LINK

e-iNBrieF for 12/7/09
Today is Pearl Harbor Day.  We honor those whose lives were the seeds of victory for the entire world.

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. (Galatians 2:20)

INCOMPARABLE Opportunity
We have received permission to hold a Christmas Eve service in the gymnasium at the Farm for all 249+ men at the facility.  Prison ministry volunteers are coming out en force to make this a very special service.  There will be a small band for praise & worship, The Ward Hill Church of Christ the King Choir will sing, a play has been written especially for the occasion, there will be an invitation given, and a time of prayer for men's families.

We have also been given permission to pass out gift bags to each and every man.  These gifts bags will include homemade Christmas cookies, candy canes, Christmas cards, a tract that ties into the play, and other materials to encourage the men and share the gospel.

We really want to make the most of this opportunity to put the gospel into the hands of each man in that facility.  However, we can't make these gift bags without help.  We need the Body of Christ to pitch-in!  If you, your family, or your church want to be a part of this outreach, please let us know.  We need cookies, candy canes, and cards.  If you do not live in the area, or do not bake, consider writing a dozen cards and mailing them to us.  We have posted all the guidelines for The Christmas Eve Blessing on the NBF website.  Please, check them out here: LINK

Again, we just want to stress what an opportunity this is to share the gospel with all the men.  Please, help us make the most of it!

PRAYER Requests
Our God is so good!  By His grace do we stand.  Thank you for keeping us and the needs of this ministry in prayer.

Christmas Eve
Please, keep this important outreach in prayer! Pray for every volunteer, and each man at the Farm.  Pray for the correctional officers and staff.  Pray for open ears, open eyes, and open hearts.  Pray for favor with the administrators.

Amesbury Discipleship Group
The Amesbury group has been relocated to another program house in Amesbury.  It was on hold for a few weeks, waiting for the space to open up, but has now been relaunched.  Please, keep this group in prayer.  Pray men will return, and new men will begin attending.

Health Issues
Doug continues to deal with the MRSA infection.  Pray he will get an appointment with a doctor who can really help him.  The past month Caroline has been having some issues of her own.  Please keep these needs in prayer.

Homecomings
We are hoping for Stella's homecoming after nearly three months in hospital and rehab. This has proven to be much more of a battle than we expected. Please, keep her in prayer!

We are also awaiting Hannah's homecoming on the 18th. Thank you for praying for her safe travels!  She will be arriving at South Station in Boston at 12:15 a.m.

December is a special time of year, when all the world is reminded of a baby born in Bethlehem. Praise His wonderful name, Emmanuel!  God is with us!  What a privilege to know Him who makes all things possible, including our Christmas joy.  We are blessed to know Jesus as Lord and Savior!

We pray your December is very special. Celebrate Him this month in as many ways as possible---in worship, in service, in giving, and in fellowship.  The Lord is so worthy of our praise!

In Him Alone,
Doug and Caroline Gregan
