The Essex County Correctional Facilities are in dire need of Spanish and English Bibles! We cannot keep up with the demand. That is GOOD NEWS!
The bad news is that there is no budget for Bibles. So, we are appealing to the Body of Christ for help.
-- Do you have a gently-used Bible you can donate?
-- Or, can you help with the purchase of new Bibles?
Bibles MUST BE SOFTCOVER, as hardcover books are not allowed in the prison. The best translations for the men are NIV, NKJV, or ESV. Large print Bibles are especially needed, because many men need glasses, but do not have the resources to buy them
You may donate funds designated for the purchase of Bibles, or buy them and have them shipped to us. Chaplain Doug has compiled a list of Bibles for purchase available at CBD.
